Day 1: Transfer to the Volcanoes National Park Ranges

Day 2: Golden Monkey Tracking Safari
Wake up early morning at 6am, Have your breakfast. Prepare and pack your lunch with a bottle of water. Our guide will drive you to Kinigi park headquarters for a golden monkey briefing at 7am and as well as meeting a game ranger. Proceed in the forest as you view the mountains, trek to find the primates as you spot out different bird species. The trekking takes about 2-4 hours to locate the golden monkeys.
These monkeys live near the edge of the park in bamboo forest, when you locate them you will only be allowed to spend one hour with them. Experience their day to day life as they jump from tree to tree which is interesting although a bit difficult to take a picture.
After an encounter with the golden monkeys you will be allowed to have your lunch in the middle of the forest as you enjoy the beautiful scenery of bamboo and rain forest. Later, return to the lodge, relax and check out. Our guide will drive you back to Kigali or airport for your departure.
