4 days Bwindi Impenetrable forest and Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary Uganda Safari Package is a stimulating cold zone inviting us to a long forgotten Bwindi Impenetrable forest, a tropical rain forest where Mountain Gorillas do live, a driftwood habitat with kelp-like moss and twisted patterns that remind us the seaside waves. With a further trek on the countryside to visit the habituated orphaned Chimpanzees rescued from poachers by Uganda Wildlife Authority on Ngamba Island which forms part of the Koome group of islands on Lake Victoria- the principal source of the longest branch of the Nile.

Day 1: Travel to Ngamba Island a home to 40 orphaned Chimpanzees

Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary forms part of the Koome group of islands located in Lake Victoria (also includes Nsazi, Kiimi, Koome, Bulago and Damba Islands) and is approximately 23 km south-east of Entebbe, It was established in October 1998 to care for orphaned chimpanzees that were rescued by the Uganda Wildlife Authority, an agency responsible for all Uganda wildlife. Many of the chimpanzees were rescued from poachers and were unlikely to survive reintroduction to the wild. The sanctuary is home to over 49 orphaned chimps. The sanctuary features alot of activities inclusive of Sunset cruises, half or full day fishing excursions on Lake Victoria, feeding, housing and caring for Chimps

Our Uganda Safari guide will pick you up from Entebbe Airport/Hotel and transfer you to Ngamba Island raised just 38000 feet above sea level. The short boat ride to Ngamba is about 45 minutes, this gives you a sweet taste to the pearl of Africa as you get to cross the equator on water, moving from the north to the southern hemisphere. Enjoy sweet orange sunsets opening up to cover our heads, we wade in a shade of the boughs on the countryside directing us to Ngamba Island Sanctuary, Be guided about the behaviors of friends of man, enjoy chimpanzee watching as they dance to the island’s nature, see how they feed, other activities on Ngamba Island guide us on what to see and do while here.

Evening hours find us well organised to retire back to the Capital City – Kampala for our dinner and an Overnight at Africana hotel/ Cassia lodge/Sheraton Hotel depending on your Safari budget. Meal Plan; Dinner.

Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National park south-western Uganda

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a natural bio-diverse crowned with trees of yesteryear, fallen in storms long forgotten covering a mountainous area in the southwestern Uganda. The impenetrable primeval Bwindi is home to many of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas, who feed on roots, leaves and fruits from the park’s many tree and fern species. Restricted numbers of viewing permits help protect the endangered gorilla families in this deep nighttime forest. In the park, rough paths weave amid the extremely heavy dense forests, which are home to many butterflies and birds. The most authentic Bwindi Safari activities include: Cultural Encounters in Bwindi, Hiking/Nature Walks in Bwindi, Cycling/Mountain Biking in Bwindi from the park headquarters at Buhoma Sector to the River Ivi, Birding in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park that unwinds to over 350 bird species recorded, including 23 endemics (90% of all Albertine Rift endemics) such as the Short-tailed Warbler and Blue-headed Sunbird as well as seven IUCN red data listed species.

Wake up early morning, after your delicious breakfast, our Uganda Safari tour guide will be ready in a tour safari van to take you through the luxury life style of the city, the early morning road drive is all about not to encounter with the traffic jam in the city.

We hit the Kampala-Mbarara-Masaka-Kabale highway which is an 8-9 hours road drive with reverting African culture inhabited by the sharp pointing hills, the long horned cattle, the cultural activities like drumming toward the Equator in Masaka, we shall have a stopover at the Uganda equator for amazing picture scenes, some interesting experiments like the different clockwise and antilock wise zero equator movements, You might also buy yourself a souvenir from the Art and craft shops here.

Proceed to Mbarara via the country side hotel Igongo cultural heritage centre, you may have lunch here or have it in Mbarara city-the land of milk, proceed to Kabale the all-day night cold town converged in a lowland place sometimes referred to as the Antarctica of Africa. There are splendid catchy beautiful raised landscapes overlooking Kabale, The mouth-watering nature, sharp pointed hills leading to the sky are fine settings to agriculture.  Finally make it to the Promised Land in the evening, have dinner and overnight at either Buhoma community lodge, Gorilla safari Lodge, Bwindi lodge, Nkuringo Gorilla camp, Gorilla forest camp, Bwindi view rest camp.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking Bwindi Impenentrable forest National Park

Early morning, after your breakfast, pack your lunch, Gorilla trekking equipments like jackets, rain coats, gumboots, a walking stick, and a cap. Our guide will take you to the briefing headquarters for the gorilla trekking guidelines.

Thereafter, along with the tour ranger, be welcomed by the thick bwindi forest, a new smile painting itself upon your freckling face is a must mood to showcase, the gorilla trek takes about 2 – 8 hours, when you encounter with the Bwindi Mountain Gorillas, spend one hour learning their way of life as they groom one another, lay nests and much more. Retire back to your hotel, have dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Retreat back from 4 days Bwindi Ipenetrable forest and Ngamba Island tour safari

Early morning, check out from the hotel, and be prepared for a retreat back to kampala/Airport or your preferred destination as prior organised. The Kabale-Mbarara-Kampala highway guides back to where we came from, have lunch from Mbarara city, and proceed back.
