Day 1: Travel to Murchison Falls National Park | 9 Days wildlife Primates Safari
Wake up early morning at your hotel in Kampala, our driver/ guide from the uganda’s leading tour company will pick you up at 6am to take you through a short briefing about the whole excursion.
This early morning pick up enables us not to encounter with the Traffic jam and also to catch up with the park activities at Murchison falls the oldest national park in Uganda, Pass via Luwero triangle a city remember for the Brutal war that brought the ruling government on power.
Proceed to Nakasongola district for a stopover at the ziwa Rhino sanctuary to experience the white Rhinos in their habitat, after have lunch at Kabalega dinner and proceed to Murchison falls national park. Enter through Bugungu forest, sport different bird species, this is also a good place for those who love birding. Day 2: Murchison falls national park Game Drives, Murchison falls national park Birding
Have breakfast, at 6am get ready for the ferry crossing where you will have a chance to spot out the big cats hurting, elephants, lions, Buffalos, Giraffes the park protects over 76 mammal species. Then drive to the delta point for the cocktail of birds, if you’re a bird lover this is the best time to spot them out.
Return to the lodge for lunch and prepare for the afternoon boat ride to view the crocodiles, hippos buffaloes, antelopes, zebras, elephants taking water and a number of birds at the river bank. This experience takes 4 hours, our guide will be ready to drive you back to the lodge relax and enjoy your dinner. Day 3: Transfer to Kibale national park the Home of Chimpanzees
Have a heavy breakfast, then, transfer to Kibale national park via Lake Albert escarpment. Enjoy the view of the lake, continue with the journey and have a stopover at kolping Hotel for lunch. Pass across river Nkusi the river joining Victoria Nile through Kagadi village. Encounter with the beautiful scenery of rolling hills, then approach the foot hills of Rwenzori Mountain and the tea plantation region. Check in at the lodge relax and enjoy your dinner. Day 4: Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale National Park
Have your morning breakfast, pack your lunch plus water. Our driver/ guide will transfer you to the park headquarters for a short briefing about Chimpanzees trekking as well as meeting the game ranger who will trek with you. The trek starts at 7am, as you go through the steep slopes and the thick bamboo forest, spot out a number of bird species, tree species and other primates like the white colobus monkey.
The chimpanzee trekking can take approximately 30mintues- 4 hours depending on the movement of the chimpanzees and how faster the trekkers are. When you finally encounter with the chimpanzees, you will be allowed to spend 1 hour with them as you experience their day to day life; how they eat, play and groom each other.
Have lunch at the lodge or spend 1 hour in the middle of the forest eating your meal, all this depends how long you took to trek the chimps. Evening option to relax or enjoy a nature walk to Bigodi Forests. Spot out a number of monkeys and bird species. Return back to the lodge, have a dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable forest National Park for Gorilla trekking Safari
Wake up and have breakfast. Prepare to be transferred to Bwindi forest through the Ishasha sector, on a lucky day, you might spot out tree climbing lions. Check in to your preferably Hotel [Buhoma community Lodge, Bwindi lodge, Nkuringo Gorilla camp, Gorilla Safari Lodge, Gorilla forest camp, Bwindi view rest camp]. Have dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Gorilla Trekking Bwidi Impenetrable forest
Wake up early morning, have your heavy breakfast, Get prepared along with your packed food and drinking water. Our guide will drive you to the park headquarters for a briefing about Gorilla trekking and also to meet the game ranger. Trail through the forest, spot different bird species, tree species. Spot out the primates like the white colobus monkeys and different mammals, continue in the thick rain forest a bit challenging with the steep slopes.
The trek takes a period of 30 minutes-4hours depending on how fast the trekkers are and the movement of the Gorillas. Spend 1 hour with them to experience their day to day life; how they play, feed, groom each other. It’s such an unforgettable experience to encounter. Later have another hour, experience a conducive environment with natural fresh air, so soothing in the wilderness as you take your lunch.
Return to the headquarters for the Gorilla graduation ceremony to receive your certificate about Gorilla trekking. Our guide will be ready to drive you back to the lodge, relax at your lodge or opt for a village walk if you are not tired.Meal plan: breakfast, lunch and dinner
Day 7: Transfer to the deepest Lake Bunyonyi south-western Uganda between Kisoro and Kabal
Wake up for breakfast, Pack your items. Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, observ4e the steep slopes as you drive through. See the methods of planting used by natives on steep slopes of the hills.Check in the lodge preferably overnight at overland camp lodge or to one your best choice. If you are not tired, you may opt for a village walk.
Day 8: Relaxing on Lake Bunyonyi – Canoeing, birding, Sun bathing
Wake up early morning for a heavy breakfast, proceed to Lake Bunyonyi for Canoeing as you spot out a number of bird species, for bird lovers you will love this.
