Day 1: A drive from Kampala to Budongo Forest / Murchison Falls National Park
Our driver will pick you up at 8:00am from your hotel or from the Airport as prior arranged with our tour company. Drive through the Luwero Triangle- a historical place that shuttered and claimed many lives of Ugandan’s during the liberation war that brought the current government into power.
Make it through the curving corners via Nakasongola to Masindi city for a stopover and Lunch. Embark on your drive to Murchison falls National Park. Evening hours shall enable us to have guided nature walks with a game ranger into the forest. Retire back and check in at Budongo Eco Lodge for your dinner, relaxation and overnight.
Day 2: Tracking chimpanzees in Budongo Forest, En-routing to Kampala
Catch up your early morning with a warm breakfast, later our guide will direct you to the tracking chimpanzees briefing center at Kaniyo Padidi, Meet up an armed game ranger, spread to the forest to track the chimps. The evocative pant-hoot calls in the wilderness contribute in guiding you to these delightful apes. When you finally meet them, learn their behaviors and the way they live in their families.
You may also get a chance to participate in the habituation process that undergoes activities like feeding them, mimicking their actions as they copy yours too. This shall give a close interaction with these Chimps. Later after this picturesque, Retreat back to your hotel/ lodge by midday, check out. Our tour guide/driver will be ready to transfer you back via Masindi for lunch, and then proceeding to Kampala.
